DoD IUID Data Matrix Plates and UID Asset Tags

DoD IUID Data Matrix Plates and UID Asset Tags

Custom engraved metal identification plates for defense contractors, equipment manufacturers, machine shops, government-property programs and repair operations working from customer-approved IUID data and contract specifications.

DFARS 252.211-7003 requires covered items to be marked using two-dimensional Data Matrix symbology conforming to ISO/IEC 16022 and the ECC200 specification. The exact requirement, construction, placement, encoded data, human-readable information and verification criteria come from the applicable contract and referenced standards.

Frequently asked questions

Can Custom Cutouts assign or register a UII?

No. The responsible contractor supplies or approves the identifier, encoded data and registration workflow. We manufacture the physical marking.

Can each IUID plate contain different data?

Yes. We can produce variable-data batches from an approved spreadsheet or file set.

Do you certify plates to MIL-STD-130?

We can manufacture to customer-provided requirements and perform an agreed scan or verification check. Contract compliance and final acceptance remain with the customer and receiving authority.

Can you make test coupons or first articles?

Yes. First-article samples are recommended before a controlled production run.
