Proven in heavy 1/8-inch 316 stainless steel
These are not printed or surface-engraved donor tags. The lettering is cut completely through the stainless plate, leaving the donor name readable from the negative space and preserving the solid centers of letters with purpose-designed stencil bridges.

These dimensions are proven examples rather than fixed catalog limitations. Other diameters, shapes, hole locations and mounting patterns can be reviewed and quoted around the display.
Small cut-through text with bridges that stay connected
We have successfully produced cut-through donor lettering at approximately 0.5-inch character height in 1/8-inch 316 stainless steel while maintaining solid stencil bridges. Practical minimum size depends on the selected typeface, wording, character count, bridge placement, mounting distance and desired visual weight.
Every layout is reviewed before production. We can adjust spacing, line breaks and bridge locations to preserve readability and structural integrity instead of forcing a donor name into an unsuitable template.

Start with the display—not just the disc
Send a sketch, rendering, architectural detail or photograph of the proposed installation. We will review the medallion diameter, plate thickness, text scale, mounting holes, shackle or standoff arrangement, expected movement, exposure and viewing distance as one system.
Custom Cutouts manufactures the donor medallions and can supply approved shackle hardware. Complete fences, structural frames, masonry, installation labor and other display components are not automatically included.

Frequently asked questions
Can every medallion have a different donor name?
Yes. Variable donor names can be produced from an approved spreadsheet while keeping the diameter, mounting pattern and overall visual system consistent.
Is the lettering engraved or cut through?
The demonstrated medallions use lettering cut completely through 1/8-inch stainless steel. Engraved details may also be reviewed when a project requires smaller secondary information.
How small can cut-through donor lettering be?
We have successfully manufactured approximately 0.5-inch-tall cut-through characters in 1/8-inch 316 stainless while maintaining solid bridges. Each name and typeface still requires layout review.
Can you provide stainless shackles?
Yes. We supplied 316 stainless shackles for the demonstrated 3.5-inch hanging medallions. Connection dimensions and hardware quantities are confirmed with the project.
Can you make sizes other than 3.5 and 8 inches?
Yes. Those are demonstrated formats, not fixed limits. Custom diameters, shapes, thicknesses, holes, slots and mounting patterns can be quoted.
Can we receive a sample before approving a large project?
Samples may be available for qualified institutional, nonprofit and multi-piece projects after the initial RFQ review. We confirm the sample design, cost if applicable, hardware, shipping and production timing individually.
Is the chain display included?
No. The concept image shows one possible installation. Custom Cutouts manufactures the medallions and can supply approved shackle hardware; structural display components and installation are quoted only when specifically reviewed.
