Machine builders, rebuilders and equipment owners use serial-number plates to connect physical equipment with production, warranty, maintenance and parts records. Plates can contain a repeated layout with a changing serial number or fully variable information supplied by spreadsheet.

Production formats
Use sequential numbering when only the serial field changes. Use spreadsheet-variable production when model, date, location or other fields also change. Logos, special hole patterns and equipment-specific dimensions should be submitted for a mockup.
