In-House Nameplate & Part Marking Systems

Manufacturer interest program · Custom Cutouts

Your nameplates.
Your production floor.
A simpler way to mark them.

We’re developing an enclosed fiber laser marking system with a simple interface tailored to your company’s approved designs. Load a plate, enter the changing information, and mark it in house.

In development — now gathering manufacturer interest.
This system is not available for purchase yet. Features, configurations, pricing and availability are being evaluated. No deposit or purchase commitment is requested.
Proposed enclosed fiber laser nameplate marking workstation with customer-specific touchscreen, engraved sample plate and a stack of blanks. Concept system; final design may vary.
AI-generated system concept illustrating the proposed workstation and operator interface. Final equipment, enclosure, controls and specifications may vary; the system is under development.

Designed around the information that changes.

Your logo, layout and fixed text would be set up in advance. Employees would work with the fields your process needs—such as serial number, model, batch or manufacturing date.

01 / LOAD

Locate the plate.

Place a supported blank into a fitted holder so the marking area is positioned consistently.

02 / ENTER

Choose. Enter. Preview.

Select an approved design and enter the variable information through a focused operator screen.

03 / MARK

Produce it where you need it.

Close the enclosure and start the marking cycle. The proposed first version uses manual loading and unloading.

Proposed workflow. Final operation and supported features will depend on the selected hardware and application testing.

Could this fit your operation?

  • You need nameplates or serial tags throughout the week.
  • Final identification data becomes available during assembly or inspection.
  • You use a repeatable set of plate sizes and layouts.
  • You want production staff to make plates without learning general-purpose engraving software.

Applications we’d like to hear about

  • Equipment builders and OEM nameplates
  • Pump, motor and machinery identification
  • Serial-number and batch plates
  • Metal asset and assembly tags
  • Direct marking of manufactured metal parts

Direct part marking requires review of material, part dimensions, shape, fixturing and the desired mark. Plate and part applications may need different configurations.

AI-generated concept rendering with fictional company details. Illustrates a customer-specific plate layout; not a photograph of an installed system or a guaranteed marking result.

A configured system, built around your workflow.

Proposed package

  • Enclosed fiber laser marking workstation
  • Simple operator interface with approved templates
  • Application-specific plate holder or part fixture
  • Tested marking settings for agreed materials
  • Setup guidance and operator training
  • Optional supply of compatible blank or pre-engraved plates

Spreadsheet imports, barcode input and automatic numbering are options under evaluation. Factory-software integration and automatic plate feeding are not included in the proposed base configuration.

Preliminary package target

$6,000–$12,000

Planning range only—not a quote or an offer for sale. Final pricing would depend on the laser, software, fixturing and application requirements.

A few practical questions

Is this system ready to order?

No. We’re gathering requirements and evaluating the equipment and software. There is no confirmed launch date. This page is an invitation to discuss your needs.

Will employees need to learn engraving software?

The intended experience uses approved templates and a limited set of data-entry fields. Layout and marking parameters would be configured during setup, with operator access focused on the production task.

Can you mark directly on our parts?

Possibly. Share a photo or drawing, material and dimensions. Compatibility, fixture design and marking results must be evaluated before recommending a system.

Can we keep ordering finished tags instead?

Yes. Custom Cutouts continues to supply engraved tags and equipment nameplates. If outsourcing fits your volume better, we can help with that too. Explore equipment nameplates or request a tag quote.
