Overhead Crane Rated Load & Capacity Stencils
Custom Overhead Crane Rated Load & Capacity Stencils
Reusable marking stencils for customer-supplied crane capacities, rated loads, SWL wording, hoist identifiers and equipment numbers.
Reusable marking tools for repeated commercial work
Overhead crane markings are well suited to project-specific stencil kits. A crane can require capacity markings on both sides, and multiple hoisting units create additional identification points. Crane service companies and plant maintenance teams can use repeatable layouts across a facility while retaining control of the approved load information.
What the application may require
- Rated load plainly marked on each side of the crane
- Additional rated-load identification for multiple hoisting units or load blocks
- Finished markings clearly legible from the ground or floor
- Load values supplied and approved by the owner, manufacturer or qualified party
Who commonly needs these stencils
- Crane inspection, repair and service companies
- Manufacturing and fabrication plants
- Warehouses, mills and maintenance departments
- Material-handling equipment installers and repainting contractors
Custom materials, sizes and layouts
Layouts can combine a capacity such as 5 TON with CRANE, HOIST, SWL or customer-supplied asset identifiers. We can build paired side stencils, separate load-block layouts, modular number sections and multi-crane kits. Metal is attractive for repeated shop use and magnetic or mechanical alignment can be considered during quoting.
Available approaches can include reusable metal, flexible Mylar, economical oilboard, single-piece layouts, modular character sets and multi-panel stencils with alignment marks. Metal is usually the better fit for repeated flat-surface marking and aggressive handling; flexible material can be easier on curved containers, vehicle bodies or irregular surfaces.
Related stencil products
Standard products work well when the layout fits an existing sheet. Larger programs, repeated assets and specification-driven designs are quoted around the actual job.

Send the exact approved capacity wording, required character height, marking location dimensions, viewing distance, number of cranes and whether each unit has multiple hoists. We reproduce supplied values; we do not determine or certify crane capacity.
Frequently asked questions
Will you calculate the correct crane capacity?
No. The owner or qualified party must provide the approved rated-load value. We manufacture the stencil from that information.
Can one kit cover several cranes?
Yes. Repeated words can be shared and capacities or unit numbers can use separate modular plates.
Can you include asset IDs?
Yes. Capacity, crane number, hoist number and customer-supplied operational text can be organized into one coordinated package.
