Purpose-built blank supply

Not just a blank supplier. Not just a cutting service.

Custom Cutouts fills the gap between a stock engraving supplier and a large industrial cutting service. You get direct, responsive support; in-house metal-cutting capability; and practical knowledge of how identification products are engraved, mounted and reordered.

Start with a short run. Scale into hundreds or thousands without changing suppliers.

Responsive manufacturing partner

Work directly with the manufacturer when dimensions, material, hole placement or production timing changes.

Beyond a stock catalog

Standard configurations are easy to order online, while custom shapes, heavier metals, slots, notches and unusual mounting patterns are available by quote.

Identification-product knowledge

We understand engraving areas, surface direction, corner styles, hole placement, repeat part numbers and the details that matter after the blank reaches your shop.

Flexible production capacity

Prototype and short-run work is welcome, and repeat specifications can scale into recurring production batches of hundreds or thousands of parts.

Why engraving companies use Custom Cutouts

Buying option What it does well Common limitation
Stock engraving supplier Convenient standard blanks Limited sizes, metals, thicknesses and custom fabrication
Large cutting service Broad fabrication capability May offer less identification guidance or flexibility for smaller requirements
General fabrication shop Custom metal parts May not understand engraving layouts, tag construction or repeat catalog supply
Custom Cutouts Standard catalog blanks, custom manufacturing and identification expertise One supplier from short runs through production quantities in the thousands

A cleaner blank for professional engraving

Laser cut—not stamped or tumbled

Every standard blank tag and plate is 100% fiber-laser cut from flat sheet stock. We do not press-stamp these blanks. Avoiding the stamping operation helps the parts retain a flat profile instead of developing the dished, bowed or upward-curled shape that can make engraving setup inconsistent.

Cut from flat sheet

Each tag or plate is cut with our fiber laser directly from flat aluminum or stainless sheet stock—never punched out with a stamping die.

2

Hand removed and back-deburred

Every piece is individually removed from the cut sheet, neatly stacked and deburred from the back. The parts are not shaken loose or sent through a bulk tumbling process.

3

Stacked and tightly wrapped

Finished stacks are wrapped tightly so the faces do not slide and rub together during handling, fulfillment and shipping—reducing the micro-scratches common when loose blanks are thrown into a bag.

Standard catalog finish

Plain sheet finish, ready for your process

Standard blank-tag products are supplied in their plain sheet finish so each engraving company can clean, brush, polish, coat or otherwise prepare the face for its own equipment and customer requirements. Additional front-surface finishes can be quoted for custom production.

Your outsourced cutting department

Take on metal-tag orders without owning a metal-cutting system

When a customer needs an unusual blank, a heavier material, a short run that is inconvenient to fabricate or a production order numbering in the thousands, Custom Cutouts can supply the unfinished tags while your company keeps the engraving and the customer relationship.

Built to your specifications

Send the finished width and height, material, thickness, quantity, corner style, holes, slots or a drawing. We can reproduce saved specifications for repeat orders.

Ready for your engraving process

Order blank parts for laser engraving, rotary engraving, stamping or another marking process. Brushed surfaces and protective film are available where applicable.

Trade-friendly fulfillment

We work behind the scenes as your cutting department. Ask about recurring-order pricing, neutral packaging and shipping directly to your shop or customer.

Cut for the job

More than standard rectangles

From tiny utility tags to long strips, equipment plates and custom profiles, each blank can be cut around the requirements of the finished identification product.
