Weld-On Metal Identification Tags and Serial Plates

Custom steel and stainless identification tags designed for attachment to fabricated equipment and assemblies.

Weld-on tags create a physical identifier on frames, skids, structures, attachments and heavy equipment where adhesive labels or hanging tags are unsuitable. They may be engraved, cut through or produced with customer-specified numbers and layouts.

Engraved or cut-through?

Engraved tags support smaller text and more detailed information. Cut-through characters remain physically open through the plate and may be useful when a weld tag will be painted with the equipment. Heavy coating can bridge small openings, so paint process and character size should be reviewed.

• Tag dimensions and weld area
• Exact text, sequence or spreadsheet
• Whether the tag will be painted or coated
• Required character height and viewing distance
• Quantity and any drawing requirements

Matching, sequential and smaller formats are also available in related sizes. Projects with different text on every tag, custom dimensions, logos or unusual holes can be quoted from an approved spreadsheet or drawing.
